PITTSBORO — The Haw River Assembly is hosting a free presentation of its annual water quality report, “State of the Haw.”

Haw Riverkeeper Emily Sutton will present the report on Saturday, Jan. 20, from 10 a.m.-noon at Chatham Community Library, 197 N.C. 87 N., Pittsboro.

This comprehensive report provides a detailed analysis of the current state of the Haw River, offering valuable insights into the environmental health and vitality of this crucial waterway.

This report and these presentations are meant to give community members an opportunity to learn about water quality and which pollution issues are most impacting their own rivers and streams. The Haw River Assembly is also providing an open forum for the public to ask questions about issues of most concern.

This event in Pittsboro is the first of a series of these talks around the watershed.
