Haw River Assembly Sustainability Scholarship

The 2024 Sustainability Scholarships are Now Open for Application. If you are interested in expanding your ability to do sustainable and ecological work this could be the support you need! Made possible by the generosity of the late environmental advocate, George Pauly, this scholarship honors his commitment to a sustainable future. It supports individuals in promoting sustainability and environmental protection in the Haw River watershed by covering expenses related to training and certification programs. Educational programs can include certifications and workshops from the N.C. Botanical Garden, community colleges, universities, N.C. Environmental Education and other appropriate organizations. Scholarships for classes or support for formal degree programs such as a Bachelor of Science are not eligible. 

Awards will range from $200 to $1,000. All people in the community are welcome to apply.A first round of applications will be accepted until February 29, 2024 using this form, and awards will be offered to the winning recipients beginning March 15, 2024.
