Screen Showing: Forever Chemicals: North Carolina’s Toxic Tap Water in Pittsboro

July 31 @ 6:00 pm 8:00 pm

PITTSBORO FRIENDS: We’re hosting a screening of @wWRAL TV‘s 20-minute documentary, Forever Chemicals: North Carolina’s Toxic Tap Water at Starrlight Mead on Weds, July 31, 6pm. The documentary explores the damage caused by massive amounts of toxic chemicals called forever chemicals (or PFAS) being dumped into the Cape Fear River for decades.

Following the screening, we will hear from Haw Riverkeeper, Emily Sutton (Haw River Assembly), about how forever chemicals impact communities in our state. We’ll also have some immediate actions you can take to help us stop forever chemical pollution.

Starrlight Mead: 130 Lorax Ln, Pittsboro, NC 27312
