New 2024 Haw River Assembly T-shirt -The Great Blue Heron

This is our last T-shirt we will print from artwork by Clyde Jones, our beloved Bynum folk artist. Clyde is no longer able to create new paintings for us, but is still a great supporter of HRA, and we appreciate all he has done for us, and the beautiful art. This shirt is a reproduction or the 2012 painting he made inspired by the HRA logo. It’s on a soft teal color shirt, produced by T.S. Designs of Burlington using their unique environmentally-friendly dye process on a 100% organic shirt. As always a map of the Haw River is on the back.
Shirts are available in these styles and sizes:
— Adults (Men’s) (S, M, L, XL, 2X), for $25
—Women’s (S, M, L, XL, 2X), for $25

North Carolina’s Haw River has a rich geographic, ecological and cultural history, tracked here from its source to its confluence with the Atlantic Ocean. From grinding mills to algae science, this popular history features interviews with mill owners and workers, archaeologists, environmentalists, farmers, water treatment managers and many others whose lives have been connected to this river. Additionally, it explores life on the river’s banks and humans’ place in its rich ecology.
