Nature4All Diversity Series: Warbler Birding and Indigenous Culture at Isi Asepihiye (The Haw)

September 14 @ 10:00 am 12:00 pm

Haw River Assembly’s Nature4All Diversity series seeks to encourage Black, Indigenous, and People of Color to find a sense of connection to outdoor recreation and highlights instructors and groups that provide BIPOC representation.

Join us on September 14 from 10 AM-12 PM at Bynum UMC Community Center (28 Charlie Fields Rd, Pittsboro, NC 27312) as we hear from Darrell Stover and look for warblers and other birds along the Bynum Bridge. After birding, participants will head inside the community center, where they will learn about Haw River’s historic foodways and be treated to Indigenous lunch. Chef Patterson will provide a sampler luncheon representative of Indigenous foods and walk through a presentation of Haw River area wildlife and plant life. To help cover the cost of food, there is a $7 fee that can be paid by completing this form: https://forms.gle/NJtgM1cMg9LAndKP9

*Payments are non-refundable*
