Macro Workshop!

September 13 @ 3:00 pm 4:30 pm

The Haw River Watch program serves to give a clearer picture of the health of the Haw River by determining the type and location of pollution sources. Working with the Haw Riverkeeper, volunteers act as guardians of their streams and notify state agencies if water quality is threatened.

Participants during this workshop will be presented with a brief presentation about key features of macroinvertebrates, notable distinguishing characteristics, and the importance of using these creatures to determine water quality. Participants will then apply their knowledge using microscopes to examine macroinvertebrates and receive assistance from HRA instructors.

Please use the form to sign-up for a workshop below! If you have any questions, please email kaitlyn@hawriver.org
