Haw River Preserve Nature Walk

July 20 @ 9:30 am 11:30 am

Join us on a nature walk on July 20 from 9:30-11:30! Led by Dr. William Dunson, the walk will be about 2 hours over 1 mile on mowed grassy trails, with one crossing of a deep gully using a rope handhold. The area’s interesting ecology will be discussed, and historical changes that have resulted in the preservation of a remarkable proportion of the habitats will be evaluated.

The event is free, but we encourage a $10 or more donation to support our upcoming 2024 Haw River Learning Celebration! The Haw River Learning Celebration is a field trip to the Haw River for fourth graders each fall. Over 48,000 students have participated since we began the program in 1990. Sign up and donate using this form: https://forms.gle/kK6F11T6QqxoXfSGA
