We did it! Thanks to everyone who donated to our 2017 Learning Celebration Crowdfunder!
We reached our goal of raising $5,000 dollars to keep the Learning Celebration flowing, but we accept donations all year long! We need everyone’s help to put on this year’s greatly anticipated, 28th Annual Haw River Assembly’s riverside environmental education program for 4th graders, The Haw River Learning Celebration.
We apply for grants, ask for donations from businesses, and work to save on costs in every way possible, but the expenses of hosting over 1,000 children and 100 volunteers over three weeks add up! The children that experience the Learning Celebration are the next generation that will protect and love the Haw River. As fewer and fewer environmental education programs are offered in schools, this program that connects so many children to their natural environment is more critical and impactful than ever. Your funds are needed to ensure that the Learning Celebration thrives for decades to come. So far, we’ve connected over 41,000 children to the river, and let’s keep that number growing!
Here’s how your contributions make a difference!
